Commander Jeri Harwood

Comrades, families and friends,

This year is just flying by.  We have just finished Easter and getting ready for all of our April and May activities.

We are in need of some raffle baskets for our VFW/Aux fundraiser for the CIC's initiative of Stock the Store at our National Home.  We will be running the raffle from 26-30 April at the Catalina Mountain Elks Lodge.  If you have anything to donate, please let me know by 15 April.  You can also sell tickets for us.  1 for $5, 3 for $10, and 7 for $20.  This is a great cause and if you are unsure of what the store is, please read up on Stock the Store in CIC Whitmore's information on our Webpage.
We will also have a raffle and dinner (Taco Bar and Chili) on 11 May at 5:30-7:30. Raffle items are also needed for this event.  Sorry it's so close together but we have many events coming up and we need to raise some money.  If you know of someone that would like to sponsor us, please let me know and I can get you the information.  Sponsorships start at $500 and up.

We will be helping the District out at the Pima County Fair.  There is a signup genius and I have sent that out.  We will be indoors.  I will be there on the 18th, 19th, and 25 April.  Please let me know if you can help.

Elections are coming up and I would truly like to have some more individuals help us out.  We started nominations at our March meeting.  Nominations and Elections/Installation will happen at the April meeting.

On May 2nd, we will do our Day of Service at the El Rio Healthcare.  See flyer on home page.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you again.
Commander Jeri
